Are you passionate about Mechanical Engineering and inspiring the next generation of engineers? We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable HE Engineering Lecturer (Mechanical bias) to join our Higher Education team at UCNL and UCDon. You will deliver engaging teaching across Levels 4 and 5, provide academic support to students, and contribute to curriculum development within our growing Engineering provision. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, shaping innovative approaches to learning and teaching while supporting students to achieve their full potential. This is a group role, therefore you are expected to travel across North Lindsey College and Doncaster College.
Essential Criteria
- Degree (Level 6) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
- Strong subject knowledge in mechanical engineering theory and practice
- Ability to teach and support undergraduate students effectively
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with flexibility to work evenings when required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Mechanical and related Engineering modules at Levels 4 and 5
- Act as Academic Tutor, providing guidance and support to students throughout their studies
- Participate in curriculum planning, development, and quality assurance processes
- Contribute to programme documentation, annual reports, and student engagement activities
- Engage in scholarly activity and promote Higher Education within the local community
