We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Beauty Therapy to join our Hair & Beauty department on a fixed-term basis. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, pastoral support and assessment, helping learners develop their skills, confidence, and career aspirations. The role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team, contribute to high-quality curriculum delivery, and maintain strong industry links to ensure learners receive a current, relevant and engaging experience. This is a part-time position for 29-30 hours per week, worked over four days. We are open to offering flexibility, which can be discussed with the manager during interview.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Beauty Therapy programmes.
- Act as a course tutor, providing pastoral support and monitoring attendance, behaviour and progress.
- Plan and deliver innovative, inclusive lessons using a range of teaching strategies and digital technologies.
- Maintain accurate records including lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, eILPs and e-registers.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in marketing activities such as Open Days and promotional events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners and support teams to enhance learner outcomes.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and British Values throughout all teaching and support activity.
Qualifications
- A relevant Beauty Therapy-related degree or equivalent qualification.
- Recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and qualification frameworks.
- Experience embedding Functional Skills English and/or maths within lessons.
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
Contract & Salary
- Contract: Part time. New position.
- Salary: £33,787 – £42,766. Actual salary: £27,600.64 – £34,935.60 per annum (29 hours) and £28,552.39 – £36,140.28 per annum (30 hours).
