The vacancy
Are you passionate about adult education and ready to lead a high-quality Access to HE curriculum? We are seeking an experienced and innovative Curriculum Lead to join our Adult Skills team. You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a robust, engaging curriculum that supports learners on their journey to higher education.
Summary of the Role
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the Access to HE curriculum, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, resource management, and a strong focus on student success and quality assurance.
This role is cross sites and a Fixed Term role up to 12 months
Essential Criteria
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
- Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Proven track record of managing a team and developing curriculum plans
- Experience of working in Access to HE study programmes
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance the Access to HE curriculum in line with statutory requirements and best practice
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement and high standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders, employers, and awarding organisations to ensure curriculum relevance and quality
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring compliance with funding rules and college policies
