Role
This is a strategic, client-facing role for an Electrical professional, combining technical understanding with business development responsibility. We are looking for someone who has come from an electrical background (e.g. Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Estimator) and has developed client relationships and won work throughout their career. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, supporting bids, and helping shape the future growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the UK
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, main contractors, and stakeholders
- Leverage your industry experience and contacts to generate opportunities
- Work closely with delivery and estimating teams on tenders and bid submissions
- Provide technical input during early-stage discussions with clients
- Contribute to overall business strategy and growth plans
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Support the company's ambition to scale back to pre-COVID levels
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven background within the electrical contracting sector
- Experience in a Project Management, Contracts Management, or Estimating role
- Strong understanding of electrical project delivery and client requirements
- Experience in client-facing roles and developing opportunities through relationships
Desirable
- Previous involvement in business development, tendering, or winning work
- Established network within the electrical/construction industry
- Experience contributing to bids, pricing, or commercial strategy
