Health & Safety / CDM Advisor (Housebuilding) – Midlands Region

DM Safety & Health Services is an independent national Health & Safety Consultancy based in the North West.

The Role

Reporting to the Account Director, you will provide HSE support across multiple sites and clients within the housebuilding sector throughout the North Midlands region.

You will be responsible for

  • Conducting site inspections and support visits.
  • Providing technical and HSE support to site management teams.
  • Undertaking targeted monthly checks.
  • Attending monthly client and internal meetings.
  • Supporting clients with additional services when required.
  • Finding practical solutions to site issues.
  • Building trust and strong working relationships with site teams.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents.
  • Carrying out external Principal Contractor / Client inspections.
  • Delivering in-house training for operatives and management teams.

About You

Qualifications, Experience, and Training

  • UK-based construction / housebuilding experience.
  • NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate.
  • Experience working across multiple clients and projects.
  • Principal Designer experience or understanding of PD duties under CDM 2015 (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable).
  • Available immediately.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Passion for driving continuous improvement in site health and safety.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with both workforce and management.
  • Ability to produce detailed, informative reports in a timely manner.
  • Excellent time management and diary planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel (occasional overnight stays may be required).
