Overview:

The Platform Administrator is a key role responsible for overseeing the daily administration, coordination, and support of digital asset management systems used to manage and distribute digital assets for high-profile clients.

Reporting into the Account Director, and acting as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and developers, the Platform Administrator is a key role in the maintenance of the system settings, metadata, content and user access ensuring assets are properly maintained and user management is seamless.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User and System Management:
  • Provide ongoing support to platform users, ensuring account creation, updates, and access levels are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain a user database for tracking, ensuring user access is documented and shared with clients as needed.
  • Support user management by assisting with system settings, troubleshooting, and reporting any technical issues.
  • Act as a helpdesk contact for any system-related inquiries from both internal and external users.
  • Monitor platform help email and monitor incoming emails and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Digital Asset Management & Maintenance:
  • Manage asset permissions and liaise with ingest teams to upload, organise, and maintain new assets on the DAM platform in a timely manner.
  • Ensure metadata accuracy and content positioning, proactively reviewing to ensure all assets are up to date.
  • Oversee scheduled asset launches and coordinate โ€˜go-live\’ timings, ensuring assets are released as planned.
  • Provide technical training to internal users on how to use the platforms effectively.
  • Provide support testing new feature developments.
  • Assist the scripting team with cross-checking English OV scripts and platform uploads when required during busy periods.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Provide support and complete ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as required by the Account Directors.
  • Maintain internal and external user guides for the platforms, ensuring documentation is updated in line with any new development carried out across the platforms.
  • Communication & Support:
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure requirements for maintenance of the system settings, metadata, content and user access are met.

Requirements

Skills/knowledge required:

  • Organisation skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of DAM and AV post-production.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written, interacting with internal and external clients.
  • Proactive approach to task management and problem-solving.
  • Experience using project and task management tools, e.g. Excel, Smartsheet, Monday.com, desirable.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
