The Role
Our client is pioneering the future of software engineering within their sector/field. In this role, AI agents write a significant portion of the primary C# codebase, and they require an experienced Senior Developer to direct, orchestrate, and validate this output.
You will not just be coding in a corner; you will act as the "human‑in‑the‑loop" engineer, ensuring AI‑generated components are woven into robust, enterprise‑grade systems where absolute reliability is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Orchestration & Review: Direct, monitor, and review the code outputs generated by AI agents.
- Integration & Architecture: Piece together AI‑generated code blocks into cohesive, scalable, and robust software solutions.
- Advanced Debugging & Hand‑Coding: Step in with strong manual coding skills to refactor, optimize, and fix complex logical errors when the AI falls short.
- Rigorous Testing: Implement a methodical approach to testing and debugging live, high‑stakes logistics systems.
- Process Optimization: Continuously question current workflows and suggest improvements to the AI prompt strategies, tooling, and general codebase.
- Project Management (Upper Salary Band): Plan, prioritize, and manage project delivery timelines while managing stakeholders alongside your core development duties.
- Commute: Full commitment to working on‑site daily at the North Norwich office.
Essential Criteria
- Commercial Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional C# development experience.
- AI Environment Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience working actively with AI coding tools, LLMs, or automated code‑generation agents.
- Technical Mastery: Exceptional hand‑coding ability with a deep understanding of C# architecture, rather than a passive acceptance of generated outputs.
- QA Mindset: A highly methodical approach to system integration, debugging, and comprehensive unit/integration testing.
- Soft Skills: A confident, articulate communicator who is comfortable constructively challenging architectural ideas and proposing innovations.
