The predicted salary is between 31200 - 46800 £ per year.

£39,000/annum plus excellent benefits. Fully office based, Monday to Friday (early leave for staff on Fridays). Location: Norwich based. Free daily parking. Generous holiday allowance. Full onsite (no hybrid or remote options available). Generous benefits package available. Full financial travel support if required.

My client is a genuine leader and multi-award winner in their respective sector. Well established over many years of trading, with an expanding team. Due to significant recent project success, they urgently seek a new Project Engineer to join their existing team in Norwich. Supplying into the offshore industry sectors, their product range is huge and varied. Having invested heavily in R&D and emerging markets, they are now entering an exciting growth and scale-up phase to meet newly secured demand. As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Project Engineer to strengthen their commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the project focal point and liaise with the Client, nominated 3rd Party bodies, and all internal departments, dealing with both the commercial and technical aspects of the project delivery.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of systems.
  • Identify risks such as commercial, contractual, design, schedule and make assessments of such risks to minimise their impact on the business.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical reviews and assessments.
  • Ensure AE financial management systems are current and reflect actual progress and forecast costs at an individual project level, highlighting significant forecast variations at the earliest opportunity.
  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support.
  • Coordinate between engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare project user requirements, documentation, and manuals by engaging with customers, and taking sales (purchase orders) to a finale against an agreed specification.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
  • Participate in project planning, risk management, and change control.
  • Monitor project cash flow to ensure that invoices accurately reflect the project's expenditure and current forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • HNC or equivalent(s) EC&I engineering experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong experience of conducting technical reviews and collaborating with project teams.
