My client is looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who is looking to make an instant impact on a site and contribute to the growth of the business through hard work, commitment and dedication.
Our client is a solid and thriving multinational manufacturer with over 50 years in operation, maintaining high standards of production and continuously investing to ensure significant growth. Due to customer growth and demand, they are now opening their doors to new Engineers.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will have the opportunity to work with market leading equipment and also have opportunities to train and progress into more senior positions. They offer unbeatable training and development incentives for their Engineers and have good relationships with OEMs and local colleges for Mechanical, Electrical and Health & Safety Training.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer will include:
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Work on planned and reactive maintenance and service of unique equipment and machines on site, as well as continuous improvement tasks
- Troubleshoot and repair production and utility equipment
- Swap both electrical and mechanical components like for like with the odd strip and rebuild project
- Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity
- Support new machinery installations
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Champion safety and continuous improvement (BOPEX)
About You:
To be successful in your application for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer you will need, but not limited to:
- Electrical and Mechanical Fault-Finding skills, looking at Root Cause Analysis
- Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering)
- IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous
- Familiarity with safety protocols (LOTO, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.)
- Comfortable with 12-hour continental shifts
- Able to work alone as well as within a team and help support colleagues on shift
