Overview
The Strategy & Insights team is composed of multiskilled individuals who uncover business problems, analyse their size, bring best practices from various industries, and collaborate with different departments to derive solutions. This function acts as the office of the CEO, providing key decision-making analysis to inform business decisions.
Reporting lines
Directly reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Extracting and analysing data to build comprehensive reporting and drive business insight.
- Collaborating with data source owners and the data engineering team to ensure key data is accurate, automated, and timely.
- Monitoring and measuring the impact of various solutions with the data engineering team.
- Driving the evolution of content and automation of management information for optimal value and efficiency.
- Using insights to influence decisions and deliver data-driven actions for various business departments.
- Leading change initiatives and addressing root causes of problems.
- Delivering key changes on commercial projects in collaboration with various departments.
- Identifying and evaluating business risks and opportunities, and developing options to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.
- Building strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders across the business.
- Developing a detailed understanding of key revenue and cost drivers, as well as competitor and industry context.
- Upskilling the Insight Analyst to improve overall team output.
- Helping to shape the Strategy & Insights function.
- Providing support in creating forecasts, setting budgets, and drafting board materials.
- Delivering ad hoc projects and initiatives.
The experience and skillset

- A proven track record (likely over four to five years) in a high-paced, project-based organisation, ideally in management consultancy or a tech-led company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to review and understand business models and strategies.
- Strong commercial awareness; ability to quickly grasp commercial issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to form working relationships and gain credibility with colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively and accurately.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, ideally with skills in SQL, R, or Python.
