About the Role
We are looking for a highly operational, organised and proactive Social Operations Lead to work directly with the Director of Creative & Platforms and help run the engine of DMG New Media. DMG New Media is a new social publisher reaching over 150 million followers across news, entertainment, sport and culture. As the business scales, strong operational leadership is essential to ensure our creative, social and commercial teams work together seamlessly. This role sits at the centre of the organisation. Acting as the operational right hand to the Director, you will ensure that ideas move efficiently from briefing through production, publishing and reporting. You will help design and maintain the systems, workflows and processes that allow the creative team to operate at scale. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organised, operationally minded and calm under pressure; someone who enjoys turning complex projects into clear processes and making teams run faster and more effectively.
Main Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Help run the day-to-day operations of the social creative & platforms department alongside the Director. Own and maintain the operational systems that underpin social creative, commercial campaigns and platforms. Translate strategic priorities into clear workflows, timelines and responsibilities across teams.
- Workflow & Process: Design and maintain streamlined workflows for commercial campaigns, original content formats, social publishing, and reporting. Ensure briefs move smoothly from sales > creative > production > publishing > reporting. Identify bottlenecks and improve processes to increase output quality and speed.
- Campaign & Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects and campaigns across multiple teams. Help scale repeatable systems for content output.
- Performance & Reporting: Implement clear processes for tracking performance across social formats, campaigns and originals. Ensure insights and learnings are captured and fed back into future content. Maintain reporting frameworks that give leadership clear visibility on growth and performance.
Person Specification
- 5 years in an operational, production, project management or strategy role within a media publisher, social platform, production company or creative agency.
- Exceptionally organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable designing processes, workflows and systems that help creative teams move faster with and without the use of AI.
- Strong understanding of social-first content production and digital publishing environments.
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and translating strategy into execution.
- Calm under pressure with the ability to identify problems early and implement practical solutions.
