We are looking for a Production Resource Manager to join DMG New Media and run the allocation of our pooled production team. DMG New Media is a social publisher reaching over 150 million followers across news, entertainment, sport, and culture. We publish at pace across TikTok and Instagram, with output split across editorial and commercial. This role owns the scheduling and flow of work across video editors, videographers, and designers. You keep the work moving, protect deadlines, and keep priorities clear when demands clash. The ideal candidate combines operational discipline with strong judgement. You understand how social production works day to day. You communicate clearly. You keep teams focused on the right work.
Main Responsibilities
- Own daily and weekly resource allocation across editorial and commercial work
- Run the weekly resourcing meeting. Publish the schedule and actions
- Match work to skill and format. TikTok, Instagram, graphics, shoots, cutdowns, thumbnails
- Own a single intake route for briefs across the department
- Triage briefs for clarity. Deliverables, platform specs, deadlines, approvals, asset needs
- Set simple response and scheduling expectations by work type
- Keep project statuses accurate. Maintain a live capacity view by person and skill
- Track planned versus actual time. Improve estimating and planning from real data
- Produce weekly and monthly reporting. Utilisation, throughput, overtime, freelance spend, bottlenecks
Person Specification
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in resource management, traffic, studio management, or production operations within an agency or social publisher
- Social production knowledge: Strong understanding of short‑form workflows and deliverables across TikTok and Instagram
- Resourcing systems: Hands‑on experience with Float or similar resource planning tools
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, confident running resourcing meetings
- Data skills: Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Confident with utilisation and capacity reporting
- Commercial awareness: Understands how utilisation, overtime, and freelance spend affect targets
- Stakeholder management: Works well across editorial, production, and commercial teams
- AI curiosity: Interest in automation for intake, tagging, forecasting, and reporting
