About Us/The Role

DailyMail+ has just reached its second birthday. Live across the UK, US and Australia, we're one of the fastest-growing media subscriptions globally, with ambitious plans over the next few years to make DailyMail+ one of the largest media subscription brands in the world.

We've now got an exciting opportunity for a talented CRO Executive to join the business and help shape the performance of our website, apps, and the journeys our users take to subscription. Working alongside our Senior CRO Manager, you'll be hands-on in converting customers on web and app - optimising our paywall, landing pages, checkout and display assets to drive seamless, efficient conversion journeys.

You'll support the development of a robust test-and-learn framework, help identify opportunities across personalisation and audience segmentation, and analyse data to build a best-in-class CRO approach. You will operate across the UK, Australia and US.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce new data led hypotheses on how we can improve our website and app to drive DailyMail+ subscriptions in the UK, US, and AU.
  • Collaborate with product, brand, analytics, editorial, CRM, newsletter, QA teams to build and launch A/B tests as well as subscription campaigns.
  • Help manage the CRO roadmap items: keep the roadmap up to date, set-up test JIRA tickets, monitor and record test results in JIRA, flag risks regarding test or campaign launches, and help keep the CRO pipeline moving.
  • Analyse A/B testing results through VWO, Purchasely and Zephr (paywall configuration tool).
  • Ability to analyse and break down data into easy-to-understand stories to convey to key stakeholders such as Product & Acquisitions teams.
  • Ability to set up metrics we need in VWO or similar platforms to ensure we’re measuring everything we need to for each test.
  • Setup and manage paywalls, landing pages using our CMS and paywall configuration tool for all markets.

The Must Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimisation and associated Analytics.
  • Ideally proficient (or at least 1 year experience) with A/B testing tools (Adobe, VWO, A/B Tasty, Optimizely or similar platforms) to analyse tests & transform data into easy to understand key takeaways.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and event tracking in A/B testing tools to ensure the relevant success metrics will be tracked.

The other stuff we are looking for:

  • Collate and gather data on customer behaviour and usage of the site and app, acquisition opportunities to present to the senior stakeholders.
  • Foundational knowledge of UX/UI/ Design and App/ Web development.
  • An eye for good design - understand what makes a good web or app experience.

Person Specification

  • A clear communicator who can translate results into digestible updates for a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude, exceptionally organised with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Keenness to learn fast and make an impact.
  • Analytically curious, comfortable navigating datasets to draw out actionable insight.
