Person Specification
What we are looking for:
- A conceptual designer with vision to turn subject matters into illustrations/collages
- Ability to create visuals for different device sizes
- Work with other design departments (Graphics, Video, Social, Editors, Developers) to create striking and engaging visuals across multiple platforms
- Help for the visual language for the Daily Mail homepage
- An eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom, creating visuals for the biggest breaking stories each day
- Work with Visuals Director to help form the future of Daily Mail visual style
- Juggle multiple projects, from breaking news to long-term projects
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of basic front-end development (HTML, CSS)
- Knowledge of animating software (After Effects)
