About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the team and help shape how millions of users experience Daily Mail products. You will play a key role in shaping the future of how users interact with our products, from first visit through to long-term engagement. You’ll report to the Head of Product design and work across key areas like subscriptions, account and engagement, owning part of the product from early thinking to shipped experiences. This role would suit a high-potential junior or a midweight designer looking to take the next step.
Main Responsibilities
- You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers and designers to:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end product design, from early ideas through to delivery
- Help define user journeys, flows and structures across key product areas
- Design and iterate on key user experiences such as sign-up, onboarding and subscription journeys
- Turn ideas into clear, well-crafted designs and prototypes in Figma
- Take part in design discussions and feedback sessions
- Use data and research to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Learn how products perform and evolve over time
About You
- A strong interest in product design and how digital products work
- A portfolio that demonstrates clear thinking, problem solving and how your work improved a product
- Strong attention to detail across both UX and UI
- Confidence using Figma (or similar tools)
- Curiosity and product thinking - you ask questions and want to understand why things work
It’s a bonus if you have:
- An interest in media or high-scale consumer products
- An interest in motion, interaction or prototyping to bring ideas to life and communicate thinking
