We’re looking for a senior videographer editor to lead on filming and editing across DMG social pages. You will deliver daily, platform-native video that grows audience and drives cultural relevance, while meeting client briefs and editorial standards. You will own shoots end to end, set quality bars, and help level up junior crew.

You’ll work closely with producers, creatives, presenters, and the wider DMG New Media team across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.

This role suits someone who:

  • Leads with strong videography fundamentals
  • Edits fast without sacrificing quality
  • Thinks in formats, hooks, and retention
  • Runs set-ups smoothly under pressure
  • Gives clear direction on set, and keeps talent comfortable
  • Mentors juniors and raises standards across the team
  • Stays current on social trends, tools, and platform shifts

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead filming for social-first editorial and commercial shoots
  • Own shoots from prep to delivery, including shot lists, lighting plans, audio strategy, and file workflows
  • Shoot and edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms
  • Edit across DMG social pages with strong pacing, clarity, and platform-native styling
  • Build repeatable production approaches for common formats
  • Solve problems on set fast, with calm judgement
  • Support and guide junior videographers and editors on shoots and edits
  • Work with producers to scope shoots, timings, and resourcing
  • Partner with producers and creatives to develop, iterate, and scale formats
  • Shape hooks, opening beats, and visual language for retention
  • Test variants, learn from performance, and apply the learnings to the next cut
  • Bring ideas rooted in culture, audience behaviour, and creator trends
  • Lead shoot-day execution with tight organisation and clear comms
  • Balance quick-turn coverage with more produced shoots
  • Work cleanly with releases, permissions, and brand safety requirements
  • Maintain kit standards, workflows, and readiness across cameras, sound, and lighting
  • Contribute to improving team processes, templates, and checklists

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong showreel, showing social-first shooting and editing
  • Is confident running camera on Sony FX3, FX6, and similar setups
  • Understands lighting for interviews, run-and-gun, and controlled scenes
  • Captures clean dialogue and location sound, and knows how to reduce risk on set
  • Is confident in Adobe Premiere Pro, with clean project organisation
  • Knows TikTok and Instagram language, pacing, and on-screen text conventions
  • Has strong judgement on what to shoot for the edit
  • Communicates clearly with producers, talent, and stakeholders
  • Stays on top of platform updates and new creation tools
  • A senior videographer who edits their own work end to end
  • A hybrid shooter-editor in a social publisher or agency
  • A lead shooter on fast-turn news, entertainment, sport, or culture content
  • A creator who understands performance, not only production value

Our benefits package increases the longer you’ve been with us. Here’s what to expect:

  • 25 days’ holiday (increasing by 1 per year up to a total of 30)
  • Pension plan and life cover
  • Discounts on online shopping, dining cards and vouchers, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Onsite gym, subsidised canteen and onsite nurse and GP clinics
  • Plus much more...
