Hours: 40 hours/week – Monday to Friday

Location: Derry Street, HSK, London

Role Purpose

  • To carry out kitchen tasks set for you by your head chef / sous chef
  • To collect deliveries, clean and stock kitchen and restaurant
  • To assist with cleaning duties in an effective and friendly manner
  • To maintain DMG Media standards of food safety & cleanliness
  • To represent DMG Media ideals at all times

Main Responsibilities

  • Washing restaurant and kitchen equipment
  • Checking deliveries and assisting with stock take as required
  • Thoroughly clean at all times and ensure routine cleaning is complete
  • Assisting at other local units if needed

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

  • Follow DMG Media policies and procedures at all times
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.

  • An understanding of food preparation methods
  • A love of food & a desire to learn more
  • Good communication skills, good time keeper
  • Thorough & effective in cleaning tasks
  • A friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers.
