Partnerships Strategist
Location: Mail Metro Media – Manchester Office

The partnerships team is focused on helping our clients to leverage our platforms in a transformational way for their businesses via continuous innovation and brilliant thinking to develop inspiring creative media ideas and delivering faultless execution.
Main Responsibilities
Drive Partnerships revenue by:
- Ability to lead responses from start to finish – from the facilitation of brainstorms through to the execution of the campaign.
- Delivering each pitch with a unique, innovative and compelling creative idea delivered across our platforms
- Understanding and using our products to best effect to ensure each partnership delivers its KPIs
- Creating best-in-market responses to briefs time after time
- Proactively identifying and developing new commercial prospects
- Collaborating with other sales teams to maximise revenue-generating opportunities
- Building a strong network of influential relationships with key, senior agency contacts and clients where relevant to ensure we are included in all briefs and are in a strong position to push to win business.
- Keep abreast of what competitors are doing in the partnership space to ensure our proposals are as good as they can be and also identify any potential collaboration opportunities.
- Deliver excellent PCAs to ensure repeat business
- Understand our data capabilities and other tools that can make campaigns more effective and valuable
- Helping and encouraging more junior members of the team where needed and stepping in to support where necessary
Accurately report sales pipeline using Salesforce
- Keep relevant internal stakeholders informed of progress
- Gain testimonial feedback from clients / agencies when appropriate
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective campaign delivery
- Work with Project Management to ensure full delivery of integrated solutions
- Work with Creative and Commercial Editorial teams to maximise campaign effectiveness
- Work with Insights team to ensure campaign KPIs are tracked effectively
Take responsibility for skills base development, utilising dmg media learning resources
- Understand latest product innovations to develop new sources of commercialisation
- Maintain deep understanding of marketplace
Person Specification
- Solid experience working in partnerships or content creation
- Experience developing multi-channel partnerships, preferably in media owner or agency environment
- Proven track record in converting partnerships business either at agency or media owner
- Solid understanding of structuring cross platform media plans
- Experience leading cross-departmental groups
- Track record of reaching and exceeding sales targets
- Strategic approach to proactivity
- Understanding of print and digital media, and of competitor landscape.
- Strong established commercial relationships with Senior key agency contacts and advertisers
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
