The Junior Audio Visual (AV) Installation Engineer is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and commissioning of professional AV systems. This role involves hands-on work with video conferencing, television systems, digital signage, sound systems, and control systems. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual eager to learn and grow within the AV industry, ensuring all installations are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the physical installation of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, and microphones.
  • Perform tasks such as pulling and terminating a variety of AV cables (e.g., HDMI, SDI, Ethernet, speaker wire).
  • Mount and secure equipment in accordance with project plans and safety standards.
  • Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assist with system documentation, including wiring diagrams and equipment lists.

Project Support & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations during installations.
