You will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical services across client sites. As a Mobile Building Services Engineer, you will:
- Lead on electrical maintenance, fault resolution, and compliance, ensuring all client sites operate safely and efficiently.
- Attend multiple sites as directed by the Service Desk to meet operational needs.
- Support wider building services, including basic mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks as required.
- Respond to emergencies, completing repairs safely and promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including EICRs, PAT records, and remedial reports.
- Provide professional client updates and advice on site.
- Follow and champion all health and safety practices and electrical regulations.
- Continuously develop your skills and keep up to date with new electrical technologies and standards.
This role includes participating in a 24/7/365 call-out service, an essential part of our business, handled on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance on lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and control systems.
- Inspection & testing: fixed wire testing (EICR), PAT, statutory inspections in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Fault diagnosis, isolation, and repair of electrical issues.
- Support small installation works, upgrades, and modifications.
- Complete all electrical certification and reporting accurately.
- Assist with multi-skilled support when required (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Attend and resolve electrical emergencies promptly.
Salary: Up to £48,000 a year
Hours: 8am – 5pm

About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance across commercial or residential sites
- Competence in inspection, testing, fault finding, and repair
- Experience with both planned maintenance and reactive callouts
- Desirable: mobile role experience, familiarity with BMS, multi-service building engineering exposure
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Inspection & Testing)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications:
- PAT certificate
- Experience with emergency lighting, fire alarms, and control panels
- Additional multi-skilled training (e.g., plumbing basics, F-Gas awareness)
- IPAF / PASMA
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and manuals
