London | Up to £60,000 | International Design Practice

We're working with an internationally recognised architecture and design practice looking to appoint an experienced Bids & Pursuits Specialist to join its London team.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong background in bids and proposals who wants to combine hands-on delivery with greater involvement in pursuit strategy, positioning and winning new business.

Working closely with senior architects, designers and practice leaders, you'll play an important role in developing compelling proposals while helping shape the thinking and strategy behind them.

The practice works across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial, retail, hospitality, entertainment and other design-led environments.

The Role

  • Develop and produce high-quality bids, proposals, presentations and submissions, from initial brief through to final delivery.
  • Work closely with senior architects and practice leaders to develop pursuit strategies and strengthen the approach to winning new work.
  • Create compelling narratives, messaging and visual content that communicate the practice's expertise and competitive advantage.
  • Contribute to market research, competitor intelligence and strategic positioning.
  • Coordinate input from multidisciplinary teams, ensuring submissions are cohesive, persuasive and visually engaging.
  • Bring a proactive, commercially minded approach, contributing ideas and challenging thinking where appropriate.

The position is approximately 70% hands-on bids and proposals, with 30% focused on pursuit strategy, positioning and wider business development initiatives.

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A strong background in bids, proposals or pursuits within architecture, interior design, workplace design, design-and-build or the wider built environment.
  • Proven experience personally producing and managing high-quality proposals and submissions.
  • Strong Adobe InDesign skills, alongside PowerPoint and an excellent eye for design, layout and presentation.
  • The ability to develop clear, persuasive written content and compelling visual narratives.
  • An understanding of the commercial and strategic considerations involved in winning new projects.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, contributing ideas and influencing the direction of submissions.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

You might currently be a Senior Bid Coordinator, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Pursuits Specialist or Marketing & Bids Manager looking for an opportunity to develop your strategic involvement while remaining hands-on.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining an established international design practice that’s looking to develop a more proactive, strategically focused approach to winning new business.

It’s an opportunity to work on ambitious, high-profile projects while contributing not just to how proposals are delivered, but to how the practice positions itself and competes for new work.

Salary: Up to £60,000, depending on experience.

Location: London, with four to five days per week in the studio.

If your background sits at the intersection of bids, strategy and design-led business development, I’d be keen to hear from you.
