DMC Healthcare is seeking skilled and dedicated Audiologists to join our team on a self-employed basis, working weekends across the North Lincolnshire area.   • Key Responsibilities
    • Pure Tone Audiometry: Conduct precise and accurate hearing tests.
    • Full Masking: Perform comprehensive masking procedures.
    • Comprehensive Adult Hearing Rehabilitation Service: Includes first assessments, hearing aid fitting, and individual care plan development.
    • Rehabilitation Advice: Offer guidance to patients and carers.
    • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform tests during ENT clinics for children.
    • Support Specialist Audiologists: Assist with cases as required.
    • Professional Development: Maintain and document your growth.
  • Systems to be Used
    • Auditbase: Audiology clinical system
    • Careflow: Hospital's main PAS system
    • Big Hand: Digital dictation for reporting
    • Kiosk: For outgoing patient attendances
  • Duties to include
    • Conduct first assessments following guidelines and protocols.
    • Develop and implement individual patient treatment plans.
    • Fit the most appropriate hearing aid using real ear measurements.
    • Provide advice on assistive listening devices and refer to other agencies as needed.
    • Fine-tune hearing aids to meet patient requirements.
    • Identify patients needing additional rehabilitation and refer them to a specialist Audiologist.
    • Assist with vestibular assessments and operate related equipment.
    • Perform timely diagnostic tests during ENT clinics.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient notes and information.
    • Understand patient pathways and maintain accurate waiting list data.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • Relevant degree in Audiology or equivalent with completed clinical placements
    • Experience with paediatric patients
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility to travel across the North Lincolnshire area
