Mimecast are expanding their UK Public Sector New Business Sales team and are seeking driven sales professionals with experience of creating new business opportunities in the UK Public Sector market via the Channel.

The Enterprise Public Sector role focuses on named opportunities in Central UK Government. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, strong team player with a proven track record of success in generating new business in Public Sector accounts. A good understanding of the corporate technology stack as well as cloud computing will be beneficial. A strong work ethic is vital in this competitive marketplace. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast paced, agile but well-structured sales environment that is regularly reinventing itself. Account Executives will be supported by and need to work closely with the Market Development, Partner Development, and Marketing teams as well as our partner community, to build a pipeline of new business opportunities which they can successfully transition into new customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who is self-motivated, collaborative and hungry for sales success.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify sales opportunities and the strategy in assigned accounts
  • Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions into new accounts
  • Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions onto new state purchasing contracts and vehicles
  • Achieve monthly / quarterly / annual new business and upsell targets.
  • Work with the Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plans
  • Develop and execute against sales activity plans to achieve the agreed targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with new business prospects
  • Manage Business Administration by generating the reporting of the Key Performance Indicators and general CRM housekeeping
  • Sign up to and execute against a set of end-to-end sales methodology and process
  • Monitor and report on activities while providing relevant management information
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationally
  • Attend trainings and develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Weekly end user activities
  • Number of net new qualified opportunities added to the pipeline
  • Pipeline stats – pipeline movements
  • Forecasting accuracy
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven IT or SAAS sales experience (ideally within Email / Messaging / Security / Storage - but not essential)
  • Proven new business sales achievement in large accounts against target
  • Experience and contacts within the UKI Public Sector community
  • Understanding of Public Sector contracts, cycles and their buying processes
  • Successful experience with new logo acquisition and customer management – meeting and exceeding quotas in fast-paced sales environment
  • Experience selling through Channel partners
  • Degree level education or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of sales process including MEDDIC, Force Management, Challenger and Spin Sales Process
