My Client is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for MOD residential housing contracts. Are you a credible, hands-on supervisor with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to lead from the front in occupied domestic properties.

Job responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of operatives delivering responsive and minor planned repairs
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance works where required, leading by example
  • Allocate and manage daily workloads to meet service standards and KPIs
  • Inspect completed works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
  • Diagnose building defects and raise follow-on works where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Liaise with residents, providing clear communication and excellent customer service
  • Manage materials, van stock, and basic reporting using mobile or IT systems

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in responsive maintenance
  • Background in occupied residential repairs, including urgent works, follow-ons, and in-day re-planning
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Experience working in KPI-driven environments where quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction are critical
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clean DBS
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor within a Social Housing role
  • SSSTS (minimum) – SMSTS desirable
  • Valid CSCS Supervisor Card
  • Recognised trade qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3)
