Join a forward-thinking team driving cutting-edge projects in Renewable Energy and Waste Management. As Technical Manager, you will support Managers in finding engineering solutions to operational problems - from Energy Recovery Facilities to BioGas Refueling – working closely with senior leadership to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Technical Development Director in conceiving, developing and delivering growth projects, such as Energy Recovery Facility, Anaerobic Digestion, BioGas Refuelling and Residual Waste Treatment.
- Work closely with the Site and Plant management teams to deliver enhancement projects, such as Digestate Reduction.
- Work closely with both the Technical Development Director and Finance Director to create and analyse business models and make investment recommendations.
- Effectively project manage approved projects from concept through to operational integration.
- Support with the technical and consenting aspects of project development through to delivery, working collaboratively with the Commercial Team for all market aspects and Operational Team for integration and compliance.
- Take every opportunity to gain insight into our industries, both direct and synergistic to identify suitable emerging and existing technologies.
About You:
- A creative problem solver with a solid mechanical engineering background.
- A strong project manager, who can deliver from concept to operational integration.
- Commercially minded and able to support with financial modelling and advise on ROI.
- Knowledgeable in UK environmental and permitting frameworks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Curious and forward-thinking — able to identify and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Passionate about renewable energy, waste, and continuous improvement.
- Full UK driving license and internationally mobile for potential site visits (when required).
