A fantastic client of ours, a leader in the waste industry, is looking for a reliable 3.5 tonne driver to join their team at a site in Gloucester. We are looking for someone personable, proactive, and comfortable with hands-on, physical work in a customer-facing environment, who takes pride in building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
You will be responsible for completing scheduled collections, representing the business on site, and ensuring work is carried out safely and professionally.
- Driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle to complete scheduled collections
- Collecting waste from residential and commercial properties
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Using a handheld device to take photos and complete job updates
- Ensuring collection sites are left clean and tidy
- Providing a polite and professional service to customers
Requirements
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 36 points)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Understanding of basic technology (PDA / mobile device)
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Previous van driving experience helpful but not essential
