My Client is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for MOD residential housing contracts. Are you a credible, hands-on supervisor with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to lead from the front in occupied domestic properties.
Job responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of operatives delivering responsive and minor planned repairs
- Carry out repairs and maintenance works where required, leading by example
- Allocate and manage daily workloads to meet service standards and KPIs
- Inspect completed works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
- Diagnose building defects and raise follow-on works where necessary
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Liaise with residents, providing clear communication and excellent customer service
- Manage materials, van stock, and basic reporting using mobile or IT systems
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in responsive maintenance
- Background in occupied residential repairs, including urgent works, follow-ons, and in-day re-planning
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Experience working in KPI-driven environments where quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction are critical
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Clean DBS
- Previous experience as a Supervisor within a Social Housing role
- SSSTS (minimum) – SMSTS desirable
- Valid CSCS Supervisor Card
- Recognised trade qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3)
