DMA Law is looking to add a Children Panel Accredited Solicitor to their busy Childcare department, specialising in child protection work.

Location: Any of our office locations

Salary: Competitive plus bonus available for the right individual

Hours: as required during business hours, to be negotiated

Basis: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP/flexible

About Us

DMA Law is a well-regarded, specialist firm with a strong commitment to access to justice, representing clients in childcare law across six locations. We are looking for a dedicated Child Care Solicitor to join our established team and contribute to our Legal Aid Agency (LAA) panel contract. Our childcare department is separate to our family department and specialises in child protection work, perfect for those candidates who want to work in one area of law. Our team presently consists of 17 members of staff including 7 Solicitors. 3 of our Solicitors within the department are already Children Panel accredited and ample experience and support is available to each member of staff.

The Role

  • The right candidate will have experience in managing a diverse caseload of public law care proceedings.
  • Representing parents, children, and guardians in court and during PLO meetings.
  • Provide sensitive advice to clients facing challenging circumstances.
  • Undertake advocacy in court hearings.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills

  • Qualified Solicitor (2+ years PQE) with demonstrated expertise in children/family law.
  • Current Law Society Children Law Accreditation.
  • Experience handling public law care proceedings and LAA-funded matters.
