Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager – South Region
Location: Flexible within South Region (Sussex, Newbury, Portsmouth, Canterbury, Rochester, Greater London)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking a committed and driven individual to join our team as a Regional Bid & Business Development Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic business development initiatives across the South Region, driving growth and contributing to sustainable outcomes.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Take strategic responsibility for securing new business within the £100k market sector in support of Regional Sales growth targets.
- Build and maintain long‑lasting, profitable relationships with large and high‑profile customers across multiple industries.
- Act as Project Manager for all contract tendering exercises, guiding the process from start to finish.
- Ensure operational teams are fully briefed on customer requirements during the Bid/No Bid process and commercial decision‑making.
- Lead the financial monitoring and commercial bid sign‑off process according to delegation levels.
- Support the Bid Team to produce submissions with accurate content, stakeholder involvement, and on‑schedule.
- Liaise with the legal team to review contractual requirements and manage post‑award negotiations.
- Oversee the integration of new customers during contract implementation prior to handover to Account Managers.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven bid writing and presentation experience.
- GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade C or above).
- Waste industry experience or understanding.
- Previous project management experience.
- Tender management experience.
- Strong communicator with the ability to self‑generate business opportunities.
