Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager – South Region

Location: Flexible within South Region (Sussex, Newbury, Portsmouth, Canterbury, Rochester, Greater London)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and driven individual to join our team as a Regional Bid & Business Development Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic business development initiatives across the South Region, driving growth and contributing to sustainable outcomes.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Take strategic responsibility for securing new business within the £100k market sector in support of Regional Sales growth targets.
  • Build and maintain long‑lasting, profitable relationships with large and high‑profile customers across multiple industries.
  • Act as Project Manager for all contract tendering exercises, guiding the process from start to finish.
  • Ensure operational teams are fully briefed on customer requirements during the Bid/No Bid process and commercial decision‑making.
  • Lead the financial monitoring and commercial bid sign‑off process according to delegation levels.
  • Support the Bid Team to produce submissions with accurate content, stakeholder involvement, and on‑schedule.
  • Liaise with the legal team to review contractual requirements and manage post‑award negotiations.
  • Oversee the integration of new customers during contract implementation prior to handover to Account Managers.

What We\’re Looking For

  • Proven bid writing and presentation experience.
  • GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade C or above).
  • Waste industry experience or understanding.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Tender management experience.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to self‑generate business opportunities.
