MRF Manager

Position: MRF Manager

Location: Nationwide

Salary: up to £60,000pa with benefits

Are you an experienced MRF/Operations Manager with a track record in managing profitable operations?

My client is one of the largest regional commercial waste management and recycling companies, seeking an Experienced MRF Manager.

The role: You will have overall management of the Materials Recycling Facility, including but not limited to:

1. Health & Safety
2. Static machinery and mobile plant control
3. Recruitment and training of direct and agency staff
4. Sale of all recyclates
5. Cost control to budget and variance analysis
6. Productivity to budget and site KPI\’s
7. RDF production to off-take and contract specification
8. Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
9. Waste input analysis
10. Waste out quality control

The Ideal Candidate:

1. You will be able to demonstrate proven ability to run and maintain a profitable and successful MRF.
2. You will show your commitment to health and safety in all aspects of the plant, holding qualifications in either IOSH or NEEBOSH.
3. Experience managing a high turnover low margin operation.
4. You will be qualified to WAMITAB Level 4.
5. You will have experience of implementing lean production/six sigma processes.
6. Capability to lead a large multinational operational team and to work effectively with people at all levels of the business.
7. You must have extensive experience in Waste Management and Recycling, or a similar materials processing/production industry such as Mining, Quarrying, Minerals Extraction, Aggregates at a senior level.
8. Operational management experience ideally of collection and recycling.
9. Business development and analysis experience.
10. You will have had, or be willing to take responsibility for Waste Management & Recycling facilities such as MBT, HWRC, Landfill, MRF, RDF, SRF, IVC, Plasterboard Recycling, Transfer Station, Glass Recycling, Scrap Metal Recycling or Gasification.
11. Leadership at Management level.
12. Change & Business Management.
13. Financial awareness.
14. Negotiation and Presentation skills.
