We are looking for hard working, dedicated, qualified electricians to form part of our team. You will be carrying out reactive maintenance, condition reports and installation works. All works will require testing with the required certificates completed on a tablet. A sound knowledge of filling in certificates and completing testing is required. A company vehicle is provided with all the materials required to provide a first time fix where possible. An out of hours service is provided by a call out rota which is an addition to your basic salary.

Reports to: Response Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To carry out responsive and day to day repairs with testing and certification being filled out where required.
  • Work independently on the response tasks as a ‘mobile worker’.
  • Carry out electrical installation condition reports.
  • Carry out periodic testing (monthly and annual tests) through the required certificates.
  • Minor installation certificated works in domestic properties.
  • Repairing and maintaining cookers, showers, and fireplaces.
  • Weekly van checks to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Tablet usage in line with company policies.
  • Promote the client culture of ‘families first’.
  • Encourage a Health & Safety culture and address any issues.

Experience & knowledge

  • Experience within domestic electrician’s role.
  • Experience in working in a similar industry (housing maintenance).
  • Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines / objectives.
  • Experience of emergency lighting testing is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • 18th Edition.
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installations.
  • AM2.
  • ECS card (installation electrician minimum).
  • 2391 / 2395 testing and inspection.
  • Full UK driving licence / Subject to security clearance.

Measurement of success

The success in the role will be measured based on the employee’s ability to complete works to the required standard and within the volume parameters specified within the role. All engineers must complete all works on the supplied tablets as per the guidance given by the response team to ensure the client has the visibility of the job status as specified in the contract.
