DM Recruitment are currently looking for a Transport Clerk for a fantastic client in Welshpool.
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm
Pay: £15+ph negotiable depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Manage the transport distribution flow on a daily basis via route planning, always using the most cost effective means available.
- Ensure Drivers Hours regulations are complied with and documented, download tacho information and vehicle cards.
- Ensure that all process and facilities comply with legal requirements for Health and Safety and other legislation.
- Manage the manpower resources within targets to ensure correct levels are maintained to achieve the daily tasks of the department agreeing any additional requirements with the logistics manager.
- Maintain the engineering requirements of the fleet, including MOT and servicing.
- Manage the collection of raw materials & packaging from suppliers. Ensure vehicles are fully maximised on both outward and inbound journeys.
- Ensure orders are printed, sort into predetermined area routes in conjunction with the logistics managers.
- Maintain driver rota.
- Book in deliveries.
- Keep phone log up to date.
- Book in collection from suppliers, communicate collection details to driver.
- Arrange any product collections from customers.
- Ensure that deliveries are made accurately and on time, make the decision about how long drivers wait at a customers.
