As part of our continued growth in the West Region and across Scotland, DM Hall are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor at Senior/Associate level.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to further their career. You will be responsible for project delivery with a degree of autonomy and resource support across the team. There will be scope to secure and manage the delivery of various projects across a range of sectors.

About the Role

In addition to the day-to-day duties of a Building Surveyor on allocated projects, you will assist the leadership team with the mentoring of graduate-level staff as they work towards successfully completing their APC.

Experience Requirements

Experience working in a similar consultancy environment in a Senior Building Surveyor role or with several years of consultancy experience:

  • MRICS qualified or working towards completing your APC
  • Confidence and experience as a client-facing project lead
  • Extensive technical experience across multiple sectors and clients
  • Assist with mentoring of Graduate level staff and workflow management
  • Pre-Acquisition Building Surveys / Technical Due Diligence: Building Condition Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Dilapidations and Defects Analysis inspections
  • Project Related Building Surveying duties: Contract Administration, preparation of tender documents and Development Monitoring
  • Building Pathology: identifying building defects and failures and developing solutions including advice on estimated costs and programme
  • CDM/Principal Designer services (desirable but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence

This is a unique opportunity to assist with the development of an established Building Consultancy team in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
