DLZP Group is looking for a talented hands-on AWS Solutions Architect to help advance our growing Cloud Services business. This is an excellent opportunity to join DLZP's world class technical teams, working with hard-working, motivated and creative engineers, while also developing your skills and furthering your career within an innovative focused leader of AWS technologies. You will demonstrate technical skills in software development and cloud architectures as well as customer facing skills at all levels of a customer organization. You should also be able to think thoughtfully about business, product, and technical challenges. As a member of the DLZP Solutions Architect team, you will act as a trusted adviser to our managed systems customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.
- Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure the hardware is available for projects and working properly.
- Propose and establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments.
- Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope.
- Work in collaboration with project management teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives.
- Provide detailed specifications and diagrams for proposed solutions.
- Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution.
- Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful engagements worldwide.
- Assist customers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to migrate more of their systems onto the AWS platform.
- Capture and share AWS best practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
- Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of DLZP.
- Work as the technical leader to provide the customer business and technical solutions.
- Serve as a technical advisor for business application initiatives by participating in the evaluation, planning, design, and implementation of new applications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS implementation or consulting experience.
- 3+ years in customer and/or partner-facing roles utilizing AWS.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS development and architectural hands-on consulting experience.
- Project management and leadership skills.
- Experienced in developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
- Knowledge of software engineering and design architecture.
- BA/BS degree or related work experience required.
- AWS Solutions Architect: Associate certification.
- Ability to travel.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, RDS, Elastic Container services, Load Balancers, Route 53, and Cloud Formation.
- Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to take initiative and produce results.
- Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
- Professional experience working with and analyzing computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of and experience working with operating systems.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- Experience working across internal and external organizations.
- Experience on Orchestration tools like Ansible is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of the software development lifecycle and has the skills to handle the software development lifecycle independently.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and applications.
- Ability to write infrastructure as code and experience on Cloud Formation platform.
- Familiarity with Oracle products is a plus.
- AWS Solutions Architect: Professional certification preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and U.S.-based.
