As a result of continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Commercial Associate to support our expanding commercial function. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation, review, coordination, and management of commercial and legal documentation, while also providing operational support across business development, contracts, proposals, CRM administration, and marketing activities.

Working closely with Business Development, Legal, Marketing, and senior stakeholders, you will gain exposure to a broad range of commercial activities that support business growth and client engagement. The role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in commercial processes, document management, CRM administration, contractual documentation, regulatory compliance, reporting, and cross-functional project coordination within a dynamic and fast-growing consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting, review, amendment, and finalisation of agreements, commercial documentation, and other business-critical documents.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, contracts, commercial documentation, and client-facing materials.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain and administer CRM systems, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking, data integrity, reporting, and periodic data cleansing activities.
  • Organise and maintain legal, commercial, and business development records, ensuring appropriate document control and accessibility.
  • Support negotiations by preparing document summaries, reviewing contractual terms, and coordinating stakeholder feedback.
  • Assist with commercial approval processes and ensure documentation follows governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and operational teams to gather information required for document preparation and review.
  • Monitor and support regulatory compliance activities by tracking relevant legislative, contractual, and industry developments.
  • Conduct commercial and legal research to support business development opportunities, client requirements, and internal projects.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination activities, and administrative support as required.
  • Support marketing initiatives, campaigns, content development, and business growth activities.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, summaries, and management information to support decision-making across the business.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain records, and provide general administrative support to the Business Development team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation standards, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate and promote company values and behaviours in all interactions and activities.

About You

  • Degree educated in Commercial Law, Business Administration (BBA/MBA), or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a commercial support, contracts, proposals, legal administration, business development coordination, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and customer data management processes.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Experience working within consultancy, professional services, life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality documentation.
  • Understanding of commercial processes, contracts, legal documentation, or business operations.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to identify and elevate potential issues when required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting tools, and document management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experienced using Adobe Acrobat or similar document management software.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced commercial environment.
