As the Relationship Director for DLL Direct, you will be instrumental in the expansion of a new unit focusing on direct business within the medium and large corporate sector. This role is central to DLL\’s ambition to become the leading provider of innovative asset finance solutions for corporates in the UK and beyond.
Day To DayLeveraging your existing knowledge, experience, and contacts, you will:
Expand the direct proposition and grow our UK customer base from the outset.
Identify, evaluate, prioritise, and target key prospects within the mid-to-large corporate market.
Analyse market and sector trends to develop and execute a strategic prospecting plan.
Support DLL\’s positioning as a primary strategic pillar within Rabobank.
Collaborate closely with Rabobank to leverage identified opportunities.
Operate effectively within a highly networked international matrix environment.
Apply creativity and structuring expertise to deliver customer‐centric solutions, including non‐interest income offerings.
Manage complex and structured accounts in partnership with the risk team and other internal stakeholders.
Be confident in originating and executing deals with ticket sizes more than £5m.
Demonstrate strong financial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial statements, establish credit foundations, and mitigate waterfall risk.
Be familiar with Cash flow analysis and projection based sensitising
Build and maintain senior‐level relationships to foster long‐term partnerships with DLL.
Exhibit strong teamwork and cross‐functional collaboration.
Prepare and present documentation for credit and risk approval committees with confidence and precision.
This role is an opportunity to build on the foundations already laid by the Direct team and elevate the business to the next level. This will involve working closely with Rabobank clients and prospects, as well as building a direct mid to large corporate book. You will play a critical role in shaping DLL\’s direct corporate finance strategy and delivering sustainable growth.

Benefits and Qualifications
5 – 15 years\’ asset finance industry, mainly in mid-large corporate or similar banking experience.
Proven track record of building new business from a standing start.
Complex structuring expertise(e.g., bespoke leasing solutions, tax‐efficient structures).
Excellent risk assessment skills, credit risk modelling, cash flow stress testing, and portfolio optimization.
Experience in structuring large‐ticket transactions (£5m+) across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong team player with a \”can do\” attitude and growth mindset.
Solid influencer and excellent in (remote) stakeholder management, able to effectively navigate on all organisational levels.
Strong change leader with robust negotiation and influencing skills.
Excellent business English (both spoken and written).
