As a Multi-Discipline Placement Intern, you will experience the behind‑the‑scenes aspects of the business, including Risk, Finance, and our Commercial Operations teams. This 12‑month placement runs from July 2026 to July 2027.

Overview Of The Teams

  • Risk team: Responsible for underwriting finance applications from retail customers and ensuring all compliance obligations are fulfilled. Helping customers who may have fallen into financial difficulty and ensuring timely repayment of commitments.
  • Finance team: Responsible for cash flow, incoming and outgoing payments, financed contract payouts, reconciliations, controls, VAT and tax, monthly reporting of financials, and submission of statutory accounts.
  • Commercial Operations: Curate and support the customer journey from start to end, ensuring every deal and customer interaction meets high standards.

What To Expect

  • Risk Rotation: Learn how new business proposals are auto‑decisioned and manually underwritten. Conduct in‑depth analysis of borrowers’ financial performance. Evaluate risks related to borrowers’ industry and operations. Interpret data to mitigate risks affecting borrowers and repayment capacities. Gain an understanding of the delinquency process, effective provisioning, litigation, asset management and remarketing. Conduct assessments on the quality of our compliance procedures.
  • Finance Rotation: Learn and undertake a variety of transactional day‑to‑day tasks in cashiers and accounting (e.g., payment of invoices, application of customer receipts, reconciliations, banking, control). Understand the basic principles of day‑to‑day activities in the accounting department. Review and check customer contracts to enable payments to local suppliers for AGCO equipment. Interact with other departments, resolving ad hoc customer and accounting queries as required.
  • Commercial Operations Rotation: Sales Support and Sales Development: quote for new business, process paperwork for deals and handle customer services, handle complaints. Commercial finance function: provide customer service for incoming dealer queries, ensure equipment orders are managed efficiently, coordinate payment collection from dealers and assist finance team in clearing manufacturer payment queries, manage receivables and collections of overdue arrears, provide reporting to the business. Operations and Project Management: create and amend processes, apply LEAN and continuous improvement principles, assist with project support, manage 1–2 large‑scale projects during placement.

Essentials

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • The office is in a rural location not easily accessible by public transportation.
  • Applications preferred from those at 2:1 level or above in Economics, Business, Finance, or Banking, but open to lower grades or alternative subjects.
  • Must have a good understanding (including experience) of MS products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.).
  • Be keen to learn day‑to‑day skills required in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
  • Be able to learn day‑to‑day processes that control routine tasks.
  • Once fully trained, work independently, reaching out for guidance as required.
  • Show enthusiasm to get the job done.
  • Be a confident communicator, whether working remotely or in the office.
  • Have an eye for detail ensuring accuracy.
  • Open to taking on responsibilities that have a real impact on our business.
