This newly created Deputy Head of HR Operations role is designed to provide additional leadership capacity within Global HR Operations, enabling greater focus, pace, control and consistency across operations delivery. The primary purpose of the role is to take ownership of key operational and transformation priorities currently managed by the Global Head of HR Operations, with a particular focus on Europe as the largest region.
The role will act as a strategic and operational partner, leading critical workstreams including deployment of the HR Target Operating Model (TOM), strengthening HR operational compliance, embedding new ways of working across the HR Operations team, and developing scalable frameworks (e.g., vendor management governance) to improve performance and consistency. This role is intended to operate as a second-in-command, supporting leadership continuity and acting as a potential future successor role.
Day to day:
- Europe HR Operations Leadership (Primary Regional Portfolio)
- Hold primary leadership responsibility for HR Operations across Europe, working closely with the Regional HR Operations Manager, Europe.
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership oversight, ensuring effective prioritisation, issue resolution and delivery focus.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex operational challenges within Europe, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder confidence.
- Drive alignment and consistency of regional operational practices to support a stable, scalable HR service model.
- HR Target Operating Model (TOM) Deployment
- Ensure deployment of the HR TOM across remaining European locations where it is not yet implemented (Ireland, AGCO Finance UK, Southern Europe, Nordics, Poland).
- Coordinate and drive planning, readiness, and change activities required to successfully embed TOM design.
- Partner with stakeholders across HR and the business to ensure TOM implementation supports both employee experience and operational efficiency.
- Embedding Operational Processes & Ways of Working
- Lead the embedding of new operational processes and ways of working across the Global HR Operations organisation.
- Identify, address, and reduce regional inconsistencies by driving adoption of consistent standards, templates, governance routines and operating rhythms.
- Reinforce an outcomes-focused performance culture across HR Operations through structure, clarity and accountability.
- Operational Reporting and Performance Visibility
- Build and embed a systematic approach to operational reporting, ensuring improved visibility of HR Operations activities and performance.
- Establish consistent reporting routines and dashboards (as appropriate), enabling more proactive decision-making and operational control.
- Provide actionable insights to support the Global Head of HR Operations in strategic planning, prioritisation and governance.
- HR Compliance, Audit and Controls Ownership
- Take lead responsibility for overall HR function compliance issues, including responding to and coordinating remediation for audit findings, control gaps, and operational compliance risks.
- Support the development and ongoing strengthening of compliance practices across HR Operations directly and across the wider HR function more widely, ensuring consistent adherence to required standards and controls.
- Utilise the DLL tracking and reporting mechanisms (Archer) for compliance actions, driving closure and sustained improvement.

Skills and Capabilities Required:
You will be an experienced HR Shared Services/HR Operations leader with a minimum of 10 years’ experience of which at least 5 years leading large, multi‑country or regional operations. The skills and experience you are able to bring to the role should include:
- Successful implementation of an HR Shared Services operation, ideally in multiple countries.
- Evidence of a solid understanding of effective HR Operations performance.
- Utilisation of data from case management and systems to drive operational improvement.
- Demonstrable ownership of HR compliance and control frameworks, with oversight beyond a single country.
