The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the delivery of procurement activities, including contract and commercial negotiations, conducting supplier due diligence, and managing RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for our IT department.
Objectives For This Role Will Include
- Developing and establishing relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to the firm.
- Delivering tangible, bottom-line benefits to DLA Piper resulting from category management of spend.
- Supporting the delivery of business strategy through the appropriate application of supplier relationship management and the provision of category subject matter expertise.
- Ensuring the DLA Piper Values are embedded in supply chain
Main duties and responsibilities
- Management of IT Renewals (BAU software and support)
- Builds knowledge of the supply market within the business across the International firm
- Execution of the category strategy, including negotiating and contracting with suppliers.
- Managing appropriate supplier governance.
- Ownership of overall contractual relationships where agreed
- Producing qualitative and quantitative management information to support the value of procurement.
- Delivering bid activity including RFI/RFP/RFQ.
Success Criteria
- Value delivery in line with agreed targets including savings for the category
- Supplier performance that meets operational requirements of the Business Units
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder relationships
About You
- At least 5 years IT Procurement and commercial experience.
- Proven category and spend management delivery.
- Demonstratable IT Contract Management experience
- Demonstratable experience with IT contracts including Enterprise Agreements, End User Licence Agreements and experience delivering International Agreements.
- Excellent communication skills and influencing skills
- Working towards MCIPS (or MCIPS achieved) is preferred.
- Previous experience working for a Law Firm or International organisation is preferred.
