The role plays a central role in helping the Corporate group leverage data, market intelligence and transaction experience to drive informed decision-making and business growth. Working in partnership with Marketing & Business Development, Knowledge, Pitch and fee-earner teams, the role is responsible for ensuring the effective capture, management, analysis and reporting of Corporate deal and experience data. The role also collaborates closely with colleagues in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas to provide both an international and global perspective on Corporate activity, market trends and performance.
The successful candidate will transform complex data into meaningful insights, helping the Corporate group identify opportunities, understand market developments, strengthen client relationships and support strategic priorities.
The role will involve:
- Data Management & Experience Capture – managing and continuously enhancing the processes, technologies and governance that support the capture, maintenance and reporting of Corporate deal and transaction data across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
- Reporting & Credentials Management – preparing and submitting data for Corporate league tables, legal directories, awards submissions, client pitches and other strategic business development activities, while maintaining the quality and integrity of the firm's experience data.
- Analysis & Business Intelligence – analysing deal, client, competitor and market data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, and developing dashboards, reporting and performance metrics to support business planning and growth initiatives.
- Opportunity Generation & Client Targeting – identifying and assessing opportunities for revenue growth, client acquisition and relationship expansion through the analysis of deal flow, market developments, client activity, sector trends and competitive intelligence, helping to shape business development strategy and client engagement priorities.
- Strategic Insight & Decision Support – translating complex data into actionable insights to partners, senior leadership and business services teams to inform business development strategy and client targeting initiatives.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and continuously enhance the international deal capture and reporting process, working closely with colleagues in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas to ensure accurate and consistent global reporting of Corporate transactions.
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted adviser for fee earners and business services teams on all Corporate deal capture, experience management and reporting queries across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
- Design and deliver training, guidance and best practice resources on deal capture processes and supporting technologies across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
- Produce regular reporting and respond to ad hoc requests for Corporate deal, market, client and experience-related insights.
- Partner with the GSC to support deal capture activities, providing training, quality assurance and continuous process improvement.
- Coordinate and manage the timely submission of all Corporate league table entries, directory submissions, award nominations and related rankings.
- Build and maintain relationships with external league table, directory and ranking providers to maximise the quality and visibility of the firm's deal credentials.
- Collaborate closely with Knowledge, Pitch, Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure consistent, high-quality use of Corporate experience and market intelligence across the firm.
- Analyse deal and market data to identify trends, opportunities and competitive insights, proactively sharing recommendations with Corporate partners, marketing and business development teams.
- Manage, maintain and continuously improve the group's key client-facing marketing materials, pitch content, Experience Hub content and related credentials resources.
- Provide pitch support for Corporate-led opportunities and lead the Corporate contribution to firmwide and cross-practice pursuit activities.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience of, or a strong interest in, Corporate transactions, with an understanding of relevant terminology, market dynamics and deal activity.
- Ability to think strategically and develop a joined-up approach to how data, insights and intelligence are used across the Corporate group.
- Demonstrable experience in market profiling, research and competitive analysis.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, client development and business growth.
- Experience of preparing, analysing and presenting data-driven insights to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Resilient and confident in managing challenge and scrutiny, with the ability to clearly articulate and defend data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels using tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the global office network while also operating effectively and independently.
- Proven experience of implementing and managing processes relating to data capture, credentials management and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Resourceful and proactive in engaging internal stakeholders to secure the information required for deal tracking, analysis and reporting.
