The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.

The purpose of this role is to manage day-to-day requests and support the operational delivery of effective resource management. The successful candidate will be fully integrated into the team and play a crucial role in staffing all resourcing demands, ensuring that work is allocated to the right individuals at the right time. This involves coordinating with various departments, understanding their specific needs, and strategically deploying resources to optimise efficiency and productivity. The individual will also contribute to the continuous improvement of resource management processes, helping to drive the firm's strategic priorities forward.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Efficiently support the delivery of resourcing requests in a timely manner
  • Monitor current and anticipated activity levels, capacity, and matter staffing; assist in smoothing utilisation levels as needed
  • Generate insights from resourcing data and support resourcing decisions
  • Provide forecasts and actual utilisation and availability reports, along with other management information as required
  • Analyse business forecasting, such as chargeable hours and utilisation, to proactively drive resourcing decisions
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of individual skills, development needs, experiences, and personal/professional aspirations in resourcing decisions
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of the resourcing framework across the firm as part of the overall Resourcing strategy
  • Collaborate with other business areas and promote Service Delivery offerings, such as the Legal Delivery Centre
  • Proactively seek opportunities to further promote and enhance the resourcing framework
  • Contribute to discussions on innovations to the framework, including new solutions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake general administrative tasks to support the wider Resource Managers

About you

  • Experience in resource allocation, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, working to sometimes conflicting timescales in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Capacity to respond to change and guide others through the change journey
  • Strong ability to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships
  • Proficiency in learning the language of the business and applying it to resourcing conversations
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to offer creative solutions
  • Experience working with financial systems
