The Role:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of competitive and accurate tenders. You will work closely with our commercial, design, and project management teams to assess project requirements and deliver comprehensive cost estimates on electrical packages ranging from £100k to £10M+.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for a range of M&E projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving options.
- Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and post-tender reviews.
- Support the handover to operations teams once projects are secured.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates and industry developments.
What Were Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in electrical estimating within the building services or M&E sector.
- Proven ability to estimate projects up to £5M+ in value.
- Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Trimble/Estimation/Amtech/Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
