DKF is recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognised, multi-million-pound specialist contractor delivering complex works across the built environment. With a strong reputation for safety, quality and delivery, the business operates a group structure made up of expert-led trading divisions, each with their own dedicated leadership teams, offices, and support networks throughout the UK.

This opportunity is within their asbestos removal division which has been licensed for nearly 40 years. It’s one of the most respected names in the industry - they’re known for delivering complex, high-risk projects across a mix of sectors including central government, major property clients, the NHS, and even the Royal Household. They also work with housing associations, local authorities, and a long list of repeat clients.

The role is ideal for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager who can lead from the front, managing asbestos-related projects across major transport infrastructure. You don’t need direct rail sector experience, but you do need to be confident running licensed projects to tight deadlines, with strong commercial and operational oversight.

Your core responsibilities would be:

  • Manage and oversee multiple licensed asbestos projects, including those on rail and underground infrastructure.
  • Work closely with site teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure all works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a hands-on role across planning, estimating, delivery, and handover phases.
  • Lead project reporting, client communication, and post-project review.
  • Price new works and contribute to business development and tender submissions.
  • Ensure high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained.
  • Manage site paperwork including RAMS, ASB5s, method statements, etc.
  • Manage all training, equipment servicing and maintenance.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in asbestos project or contracts management (removal or consultancy background).
  • Extensive industry experience, inclusive of all asbestos legislation.
  • Capability to organise and run several varied projects.
  • Must be IT literate. The ability to operate programming software such as MS Project and Asta would be an advantage.
  • Good communication, literacy and organisation skills.
  • Fully aware of Health, Safety and Environmental legislations.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Previous experience working on rail projects is desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a high-performing division that consistently delivers award-winning work and retains its people through a combination of respect, opportunity and support.
