DKF is recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognised, multi-million-pound specialist contractor delivering complex works across the built environment. This opportunity sits within their major projects team, delivering rail infrastructure works. The business holds accreditations and frameworks with key public and private clients and is trusted with some of the most high-risk, time-sensitive jobs in the sector.
We’re looking for a Senior Contracts Manager with solid rail experience who can confidently lead on multiple refurbishment and renewal projects, managing everything from client liaison to commercials and delivery. You’ll be working alongside experienced project leads and commercial teams with full backing from senior management.
Your core responsibilities would be:
- Lead refurbishment and renewal works on active rail infrastructure.
- Ensure all works are compliant with rail-specific safety standards and permit requirements.
- Oversee estimating, pricing and tendering processes for new works.
- Coordinate with commercial, planning and delivery teams to drive performance.
- Manage labour, sub-contractors, materials and reporting across multiple sites.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and be the main point of contact throughout project phases.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Strong background delivering refurbishment or renewal works within a rail environment.
- Confident managing multiple projects and teams across different sites.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations, permits and safety standards in the rail sector.
- Must be IT literate. The ability to operate programming software such as MS Project and Asta would be an advantage.
- Good communication, literacy and organisational skills.
- Fully aware of Health, Safety and Environmental legislations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
