DKF Recruitment is currently seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor for an award-winning building consultancy based in central Manchester. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile commercial projects across the UK.
What your core responsibilities would be:
- Lead project management and contract administration for commercial workspace fit outs and refurbishments, with contract values ranging from £50K to £20M.
- Carry out a wide range of commercial building surveying services, including acquisition surveys, schedules of condition, and project monitoring.
- Support the ongoing development and success of the team through involvement in business development, pitching, networking, and promotional activities.
- Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations on behalf of both tenants and landlords.
- Work across a diverse client base, including occupiers, investors, and property owners from a variety of sectors.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in building surveying.
- Proven experience within a commercial building consultancy environment.
- Strong background in contract administration and cost control across a range of projects.
- Working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts and their application in project delivery.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with the law of dilapidations.
