Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about making things run smoothly behind the scenes, so that we maximise sales opportunities for our books in every channel? Do you thrive on juggling multiple projects and collaborating with teams across a business? If so, we\'d love you to join us as our new Sales Material Assistant.

In this crucial role, you\'ll be at the heart of supporting our UK and International Sales teams coordinating impactful sales materials, ensuring title data is accurate and helping our books shine in front of customers worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you\'ll collaborate with the Publishing, MPR and DK Sales Teams to deliver first in class sales materials to our sales teams and booksellers, as well as coordinating on related ad hoc projects.

A crucial part of this role is also the administrative support for preparing for major bookfairs (Frankfurt, London, Bologna), from briefing creative teams to stand logistics and setup to being involved with capturing valuable feedback afterwards.

The role will juggle numerous tasks, will be focused on achieving agreed deadlines and will have excellent coordination and collaboration skills.

What you\'ll be doing:

  • For one or more DK divisions, coordinating the creation, accuracy, and distribution of sales materials for UK and International Sales teams
  • Supporting the delivery of best in class sales materials for bookfairs and retailer presentations, and, if required, supporting sales colleagues during bookfairs
  • Collaborating with publishing and creative teams to ensure information, visuals, and assets are engaging and fit for purpose
  • Managing sales material feedback loops and streamlining processes to improve efficiency
  • Building strong cross departmental relationships and representing sales material needs in meetings

What we\'re looking for:

  • Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sharp attention to detail and an understanding of what is required to present books in their best light
  • A natural communicator who can adapt to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a \"can do\" attitude
  • Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
  • Tech-savvy and confident using multiple systems (such as Google, Microsoft Office, Powerpoint etc)
  • Experience of copywriting is a bonus, as is enthusiasm for the international publishing business

This is a chance to be right at the centre of how our books reach the world, working across a wide variety of projects that are crucial to the success of our sales teams. You\'ll gain exposure to every part of the publishing process, build relationships across departments and territories, and play an important role in some of the biggest events in the publishing calendar.

If you\'re a proactive organiser with a commercial mindset and a passion for books, we\'d love to hear from you. Please apply with your most recent
