Interim Capital Programme Delivery Manager

Location: Bristol

Length of Contract: 6 months

Rate: (Apply online only) a day (inside IR35)

Home working is accepted with 1-2 days in the office.

DK are seeking an experienced Capital Programme Delivery Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a complex capital programme within a Parks and Green Spaces service for a large Local Authority. This is a key role responsible for ensuring effective delivery of multiple capital projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead delivery of a multi-project capital programme from planning through to completion
  • Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, schedules, and milestones
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance in line with governance requirements
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and interdependencies
  • Provide clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders and governance boards
  • Lead and support project/programme teams to deliver workstreams effectively
  • Ensure compliance with corporate processes, policies, and financial regulations
  • Engage and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements:
  • Proven experience in programme or project management of complex capital programmes
  • Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Strong understanding of risk, governance, and programme controls
  • Public sector or infrastructure experience desirable
