Head of Landlord Compliance and Building Safety £500 per day | Umbrella | 6-month interim
We're looking for an experienced Head of Landlord Compliance and Building Safety to lead a high‑profile compliance and safety function within a large housing organisation.
You’ll provide strategic leadership across landlord compliance, building safety and safety assurance, ensuring housing stock meets statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
Lead landlord compliance and building safety across HRA residential properties.
Oversee Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Gas, Electrical, LOLER, Damp & Mould compliance.
Lead the delivery of the Asset Safety Strategy and provide robust assurance and reporting.
Ensure compliance with legislation and the Regulator of Social Housing's Consumer Standards.
Provide leadership across operational teams, contractors and key stakeholders.
Lead regulatory preparation, inspections and continuous service improvement.
Work closely with senior Asset Management and Housing colleagues.
About you You’ll have significant senior‑level experience in building safety, landlord compliance, housing asset management or property compliance, ideally within a local authority or social housing environment.
Relevant professional qualifications/memberships such as CIOB, IOSH, IFE/IFSM or IIRSM would be advantageous.
Contract: 6-months
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella)
