DK Recruitment is proud to partner with our client based in St Austell, seeking a Skilled Structural Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a passion for design, innovation, and project delivery to play a key role in exciting M&E-based structural projects. Key Responsibilities * Manage all structural engineering aspects related to mechanical and electrical enquiries. * Interpret and review customers’ technical specifications. * Produce structural designs using software such as CAD, Revit, AutoCAD, RSTAB. * Create detailed CAD drawings for both conceptual and construction phases. * Model M&E supports using 3D plant software. * Perform structural calculations for steel frame solutions. * Generate BIM models with integrated support systems. * Prepare accurate material take-offs for production and procurement. * Conduct site visits to monitor build progress and resolve design challenges. * Oversee workload planning, quality assurance, and project documentation. * Stay updated on industry software, plugins, and libraries. * Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables meet high quality standards. * Adapt designs to meet industry-specific client requirements. * Provide guidance and support to junior team members. Skills & Experience Required * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and RSTAB. * Knowledge of M&E building systems and structural steelwork with bolted connections. * Degree in Engineering (Structural/Civil preferred). * Experience in BIM modelling, structural analysis, and design. * Solid understanding of relevant building codes and regulations. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
