We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical works across a long-term programme of contracts within Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. This is a permanent position offering long-term stability, with work secured through 2031 and beyond.
You will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical projects within a secure, highly regulated environment, working closely with engineering, commercial and site teams.
Key Responsibilities- Full project management responsibility for electrical packages from pre-start through to completion
- Planning and coordination of labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
- Managing programme, cost, quality and health & safety performance
- Coordination with mechanical, civils and wider project teams
- Managing change control, variations and technical queries
- Overseeing testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, Dockyard stakeholders and supply chain partners
- Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, statutory regulations and Dockyard standards
- Electrical background with relevant qualifications (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering electrical projects in industrial, commercial or infrastructure environments
- Strong understanding of project delivery, planning and site management
- Experience working in defence, Dockyard, marine or regulated environments is highly desirable
- Confident managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Ability to work on-site in Plymouth as required
- Security clearance, or the ability to obtain it - Required
